In 1975, Mr. Nakamura, the former president of the current DOCK OF SHIMABARA, at the time, 
fishing and Sculling boats were concerned about the future of wooden boat, including technical aspects, and manufactured by the hands of shipwright at the time, seeing the current situation that reinforced plastic is becoming the mainstream. 


The shipwright with the manufacturing technology of  wooden boat is decreasing, and the succession of the technology become has not so easy, and the folk customs and cultural values are very high now.

There are always a lot of freshly picked seasons.
In the shop, a large circular cage, the fisherman's fresh fish captured in off the coast of Shimabara is swimming.
Fresh fish are available at a price that is unique to the direct sales.

You can have it cook the fish purchased on the market and bring it home or into the dining hall.

■Directions from Kumamoto Ferry 

Turn right on Route 251 from Shimabara Port towards Nagasaki and Isahaya. 
Turn right at the fourth signal (Intersection of the HIROBABA ).
The aisle of the fishing market takes about five minutes.

 

■Directios from Nagasaki, Isahaya and Ariake Ferries
Route 251 goes south towards Shimabara City.
After the Shimabara City, turn left at the intersection of the HIROBABA.
The aisle is the 18th Bank Minato branch of the "FUNATO ICHIBA landmark at the corner of the HIROBABA intersection.
