I tried to compare!
The difference between nurse in hospital and welfare facility nurse
It is sudden, but for those who are aimed at the nurse at work, and those who have the experience of working in the hospital in the past and are interested in the nursing service at the facility, actually having experience in hospital work, I asked the person who is doing the job as a nurse of our corporation now. Then, the following comparison table was written.
If you are aiming at a nurse in the facility from now on, I think you can refer to it by all means.
It was not supposed to work at the facility, but I'm a nurse! Why not? I don't know.
It was also as an example of the past that it does not last long with various discrepancies.
Since it has published such as your own experience, we recommend that you peruse it later.

Nursing work at a disabled facility
Many people think that there is an image of Nurse = Hospital and nursing care facilities.
The nurse at the hospital and the nursing home will support the patient's treatment under the instruction of the teacher.
Then, what kind of work does the nurse at the facilities of the handicapped person really doing?
I think are there many people who are hard to picture?
This time, I would like to share with you the role of a nurse working at a disabled facility and what I thought of working.
I am a nurse in GH (group home) for the Life Care business office and the severe, elderly person.
Mainly, we provide health care and support for patients with severe and elderly intellectual disabilities and mental disorders.
The facility because it can be related to the long-term as a family, it is possible to see the entire life, notice various discoveries, change, and you can think about not only a temporary aspect but also the whole thing for this user.
In addition, since there are staff of a variety of occupations, we provide comprehensive support (life, medical care, and nursing care) as a team while consulting and cooperating.
The workplace where I work
It has been six years since I started working as a nurse at a disabled facility.
There were a lot of times when it was likely to be crushed by the pressure that I was not necessary to judge the physical condition of the user who was difficult to appeal, and I had to decide it.
At that time, the support was the manager of the facility, the boss, and the staff.
Everybody are counting on me!!
I'm giving relief to the customer and the staff for my(nurse's) advice and instructions.
When I was able to realize this, I became the greatest joy and pride.
In addition, I think that it is a change of the consciousness only of the nurse who does the work at the handicapped facilities also with the sense of responsibility "I need to get it together" and critical thinking "What should I do now".
To be honest, there are some people who have a resistance when they hear ' disability '.
How to build relationships... How do you respond to users who are difficult to sue...? I think that the anxiety is strong.
I really did. I still remember coming to work with anxiety.
However, it was the user who had erased such uneasiness.
Say "Hi! Nurse","Hey! nurse" said to me a greets every day.
In addition, every day, they send me a sign of daily physical condition with various expressions and actions.
They are admitted me as "a nurse",they are relying on me , and more than anything, always smiling and watching the energetic figure.
My fears and resistance have disappeared.
Through customer support, I have always felt that I am supported by them too.
The customers, crying, laughing, fighting, and I'm happy to make up... You can feel it together in everything.
So, I love this job.
I think it was good to work as a nurse at a handicapped facility.
Now, our office is facing severe and aging.
Gastric fistula, those who need suction, those who are bedridden... There are a lot of people.
I have been working at a disabled facility for six years...
I attended the end of the life of three people.
Two people were at the hospital last, one was last in GH(Group home).
In the case of the customer who passed away in GH, there was hope of the family who said, "surrounded by a friend".In order to fulfill this hope, we have worked with medical institutions, facility managers and staff to prepare the system, and we have reached the end.
I think that there was a lot of uneasiness of all. However, with the cooperation of the staff, from the family of the died, "the deceased was happy to be greeted here. Thank you very much. "
It was hard, but it was good to do... I remember feeling it.
What can we do to the customers who will be greeted with the end of life?
We need to be able to spend a meaningful prognosis on how we can be left behind by the customers,
listen to what they want to do and the needs of the family, and have a fulfilling prognosis.
I think that it was because there were three people who taught me the feeling.
at last
I think nurses have a lot of rewarding environments besides medical institutions and nursing homes.
I'm sure you have a workplace that is suitable for you. (medical institutions, nursing facilities, disability facilities... And so on
If you want to take care of your daily life and have a deep nursing, it is not a task to do the routine work calmly, it is exciting and everyday,
If you want to do a various nursing jobs or if you are interested in disabilities welfare, why not try experiencing?
I think that the skill as the nurse is acquired unlike what has been experienced in the hospital.
